Merry Christmas - May You Have a Safe 2008

Well, Christmas is just about over. Our existing family, along with extended family and friends finished opening presents, having a larger than life dinner with all the Christmas trimmings, watching our traditional "Christmas Vacation" with Chevy Chase, and now our home is totally quiet. Being in the holiday spirit, this is a good time to reflect upon the many things that I am so grateful and thankful for:
1. First and foremost is my family. I have a great family, with friends that I consider just like family.
2. Our home. It’s always been and still is a comfortable and warm place that our children enjoyed growing up in and love coming back to. For that I am thankful.
3. Our health. We are all pretty healthy, only complaining of maybe a back pain or two. (But nothing major).
4. Our safety. The fact that my family has stayed safe during all of 2007 is something I’m very thankful for. My daughter lives outside of San Francisco and must ride the train to and from work each day. I discuss safety and security to her, reminding her to always be aware of her surroundings. As we go into 2008, I will definitely be talking about Safety and Security Awareness to my entire family. I hope you will do the same to yours.
There are many more things that I’m thankful for, but this is the primary list. Most of you probably have this same list. If you do, please express to your children, your loved ones, your young daughters going off to college, your wife, and even your strong husband or better half, to be safe in 2008!
Let’s take our Safety and Security seriously 24/7. Don’t let anyone in your family become a victim of crime because they weren’t aware of their surroundings. Let’s educate our family and friends about dangerous situations to look out for, to have a solid plan of action if a situation does occur, and to even take time to learn some good self-defense tips and moves that could help keep you safe and alive.
May you and your family have a great New Year and Stay Safe in 2008!

I think this reflection was great, and I say ‘diddo’ to you. I have a wonderful family too, and constantly share safety information with them.
And we all need to be very aware as we all go in to 2008!
Thank You
